The Philippine Indie Rock Awards is powered by Boomerang Music in cooperation with Indie Band News, YouRockPinoy, MBB Entertainment, Modular Display Inc., Kustom Amps, PreSonus Audio Electronics, Checkpoint Rock Bar, Radio Republic, Indiepinoy, Wave 89.1, School of Rock Philippines, Angelicscent Films and MNL Online, Inc.
11 awards in total will be handed out, including Artist of the Year, Best Live Act, Best New Artist, Music Video of the Year, Album of the Year, along with Female Vocalist, Male Vocalist, Guitarist, Keyboardist, Bassist and Drummer of the Year.
Raymund Marasigan will serve as host for the first Philippine Indie Rock Awards with performances from Sandwich and Gracenote.
