Boyzone promises to bring back ’90s memories
The four-piece band from Dublin composed of Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch will begin their tour in Asia before returning to the UK in the summer. Formed in 1993 by music manager Louis Walsh, Boyzone went on to become one of the most successful music acts of the decade. They made seven albums, four of which went to number ones. In addition, they had 21 singles, including 16 consecutive top five hits, and had six number ones with “Words,” “A Different Beat,” “All That I Need,” “No Matter What,” “When The Going Gets Tough” and “You Needed Me.”
At the Bring Back The Memories Boyzone BZ20 The Anniversary Tour, the band will take you back in time with your favorite songs, such as: “Isn’t It A Wonder,” “Picture Of You,” “Where We Belong,” “Baby Can I Hold You,” “Love Me For A Reason,” “Everyday I Love You,” “Key to My Life,” “Father and Son,” and many more.
“The fans wanted to be entertained and feel nostalgic and maybe feel 10 or 15 years younger again for two hours and we could do that, no problem,” Duffy explained. “We went out to enjoy every minute.”
“We were shocked by the reaction from people,” Keating said. “Every night felt like the first night – it made the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. We just couldn’t believe the fans, and I think people were shocked at how good we were too. We were eight years older but we were fitter and more passionate about it and I think we all sounded better than ever too.”

A passion to perform
After two decades together, Boyzone have experienced phenomenal success and crushing personal tragedy. In 2013, they are as dedicated as ever and still command the respect of their hugely devoted legions of fans. After premiering their towering new pop anthem “Love Will Save The Day” as part of a Greatest Hits medley performed on Australia’s X-Factor, anticipation continues to build ahead of the release of BZ20.
As they all agree: “It seems crazy that 22 years have passed since we first got together but we are as excited now as we were back then. Long may this incredible journey continue.”
To mark their 20th year together, Ronan, Keith, Shane and Mikey have already announced a world tour, to thank their fans for the phenomenal support over the years and to pay tribute to their brother, Stephen Gately. The group signed a new recording deal with Warner Music and released a brand new studio album titled BZ20 on November 25th through the Rhino label.
Boyzone recorded BZ20 at Metrophonic with Brian Rawling, who has previously produced some of Ronan’s solo material as well as delivering hits for the likes of One Direction, Kylie Minogue and Cheryl Cole.
“We’re incredibly proud to announce the release of our new album, BZ20 and our new home at Warner Music. It seems crazy that 20 years have passed since we first got together but we are as excited now with the new album as we were back then. Bring on the next 20 years…”
Dan Chalmers, Managing Director of Rhino added, “I’m thrilled to welcome Boyzone to the Warner Music family. They’ve enjoyed great success over the last 20 years and still command a huge amount of passion from their impressive fanbase. We look forward to partnering with them on the release of their fantastic new album and helping them to embark upon the next stage in their career.”
