Songs from Damien Chazelle’s enthralling and heartfelt musical are now available

La La Land: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack — which features songs from Lionsgate’s original musical, La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling — is now available via digital retailersand is exclusively distributed by MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). Songs on the soundtrack were written by Justin Hurwitz, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.  The album was produced by Justin Hurwitz, Marius de Vries and Steven Gizicki. 

Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Damien Chazelle, the eagerly awaited movie opened in the United States last December 16. The film is now showing in Philippine cinemas.   

La La Land tells the story of Mia (played by Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

Breaks Record for Most Wins by a Movie at the Golden Globes

La La Land swept the 74th Golden Globe Awards winning a record-breaking seven awards. La La Land’s stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone took home the trophies for Best Actor, comedy or musical and Best Actress, comedy or musical respectively.

The film took home the prestigious Original Score and Original Song (“City of Stars”) awards. The official soundtrack to Lionsgate’s original musical film La La Land is available now via MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines).
