Marlisa’s endearing stage presence and catchy tunes has made her the music biz’s newest star. She was just 15 when she won the sixth season of The X Factor Australia in 2014. Her debut single “Stand By You” followed swiftly and peaked at No.2 on the ARIA Singles Chart, reaching a platinum sales certification with more than 70,000 copies sold, as certified by the Australian Recording Industry Association.
It has been a hectic schedule for Marlisa, having toured Asia and the United States, including her hometown, the Philippines. Recently, she performed at the Super Bowl 50 Weekend in San Francisco where she sang for the disabled veterans from the Wounded Warriors Amputee Football Team (WWAFT).

I have been co-writing and recording some songs that will be included in my next album of original songs. They are a variety of songs that are upbeat and mid-tempo.
On her dream collaboration:
My dream collaboration would be with Celine Dion because she is one of my inspirations and she has an amazing voice!
On traveling and touring around the world:
I would like to tour around the world to promote my music and experience what different countries that I have never been to, are like!
On her favorite wake up songs:
My favorite wake up songs are “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, and “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes.
On what first love feels like:
Sorry, don’t know yet, I’m focusing on my music and my studies which are already a challenge!
On her happiest childhood memory growing up:
Being with my grandma and tasting all her delicious dishes!

The best gift I was given was my voice from God because I am now where I am because of it!

I think it’s great that Filipino talent is being recognized and showcased.

It is very inspiring meeting international singers because they are in the position I hope to be in one day.
