For one last time, the “Titans of Thrash” are coming to back the Philippines.
It was early in 2018 when the mighty Slayer announced that they would be embarking on One Final World Tour before bowing out for good. The news came as a shock to their worldwide fans, especially to Filipino fans who had just seen them at full power in October 2017.
Presented by Pulp Live World, members Tom Araya, Paul Bostaph, Gary Holt and Kerry King are headlining the 19th installment of Southeast Asia’s longest-running metal festival on March 23 at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City.
Tickets to Pulp Summer Slam XIX will be available at SM Tickets starting from December 15, with prices ranging from P999 to P2,500.
Kerry King said in a statement, “We want to assure our fans that we’ll be on the road through 2019 and will get to as many places around the world as possible to make it easier for everyone to come and see us one last time.”
The Manila stop is part of Slayer’s final world tour.
Tom Araya added, “We still have quite a few places to play, so next year, keep your eyes and ears open so you can catch us live one last and final time. Again, thank you!”
Slayer is known as one of the “big four” founders of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth. The band is best known for their hits, “Angel of Death,” “Raining Blood,” “Seasons in the Abyss,” “Dead Skin Mask,” “Disciple,” “South of Heaven,” and “Repentless.”
