The season of giving is upon us and Al Paradise Leasing Corporation, a company founded by Almar Batu-aan Mangotara, is spearheading #HelpMarawi — a Christmas Day concert dedicated for victims of the Marawi siege in Lanao del Sur in Mindanao.
Happening on December 25 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle, the spirited event is open for the public and will feature a performance from online sensations and the hottest hip hop collective in the Philippines, “Ex Battalion”.
Raising awareness
Already a favorite among the Muslim community in the area for its purpose of raising awareness about the victims of the war-torn city, the spectacle will also feature actual families from Marawi, who will share the cruel realities that they are currently facing.
After a night of good music, a generous sum will be presented to the families, while attendees who will donate old clothes and shoes will also have a chance to win cool prizes.
Meanwhile, Ex Battalion, also known as Ex B, emerged on the scene last year, with their single “No Games,” peaking at number 10 in the Billboard Philippine Top 20 and fan favorite “Need You” reaching over 21 million views on YouTube.
The group is composed of Bosx1ne, Flow-G, King Badger, Emcee Rhenn, Brando, KentMNL, Bullet-D and Skusta Clee, Mckoy, among others.
The event is also made possible by Almar Batu-aan Mangotara of Al Paradise Leasing Corporation, Al Delos Reyes & John Velez of Global Hoops and Andy Wu of JUMP10.
