South Korean alternative RnB singer-songwriter and producer, DEAN, thrilled Filipino Rebels with a one-of-a-kind show last Saturday, August 6 at SM North EDSA Sky Dome. The show is part of his 130 Mood: TRBL Philippine Promo Tour presented by his Philippine record label MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines).
As early as 3 AM PH Rebels (as DEAN’s fans call themselves) lined-up at the entrance of SM North EDSA Skydome to secure their spots and buy Dean’s debut album. The jam-packed show with approximately 1, 200 Rebels in attendance, were all delighted with the one-night only showcase. The fan-meeting and CD signing was opened by MCA Music’s acoustic singer-songwriter Krissy with three songs. Amazed with the warm reception of PH Rebels, Krissy took to social media platform Instagram to express her gratitude to the PH Rebels who were present in the Skydome that despite of the technical glitches that she experienced, the fans literally sang to every word of her song, “12:51” and even raised their lighters (phone flashlights). She even called PH Rebels “the best crowd ever” and congratulated DEAN on a sold out show. Jared of Curse and Bless kept the crowd pumped up.
DEAN literally rocked the stage starting off with “Put My Hands on You,” followed by “21” and “What 2 Do”. Hyped with the warm response of the crowd, DEAN continued to serenade his fans with “D (Half Moon),” “I’m not Sorry,” and ended his performance with “Pour Up.” PH Rebels literally jumped, danced, and sang to every song DEAN performed.
DEAN’s first fan-meeting came to an end with 200 lucky PH Rebels receiving DEAN’s signature on their 130 Mood: TRBL CDs. They were also fortunate enough to touch DEAN’s hand and say a few words to him.
DEAN is known for his collaborations with famous K-Pop artists like Lee Hi’s “World Tour,” Taeyon’s “Starlight,” EXO’s “Unfair,” and “Black Pearl,” Winner’s “Je T’aime,” Block B’s “Round and Round,” VIXX’s “Voodoo Doll,” and “Eternity,” and more to come in the future.
Rebels, share us your favorite DΞΔN moment!
