Pentatonix hits all the right notes
Grammy Award-winning a cappella sensation Pentatonix (PTX) thrilled a packed stage at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 24, 2016.
The audience, composed mostly of young girls and boys, and their families, waited patiently. [But] As soon as Pentatonix came on stage, the crowd went wild. The quintet kicked the night off with one of their original songs, “Cracked.” And as the night progressed, PTX sang songs – from their own popular tracks to multiple Justin Bieber songs and even a Michael Jackson medley. Furthermore, PTX sang several covers from other artists, including “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons, “No” by Meghan Trainor, “Ride” by Twenty One Pilots and “Cheerleader” by OMI.

Pentatonix member Scott Hoying exclaimed, “Manila this is so far our most favorite show” during their World Tour 2016 Live in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum.

Pentatonix ended their fabulous concert with originals “Rose Gold” and “New Year’s Day.” But what made the audience really pay attention was their encore as they asked the audience to quiet the coliseum so they could sing a capella without microphones. It was enchanting, natural, and effortlessly engaging.
Overall, the concert was a massive success, and fans from all over had an amazing, wonderful time.
