Much has been said about Jake Zyrus’ coming out as a transgender but the singer formerly known as Charice persists on singing for those who continue to show their love, respect and support to him.
His forthcoming concert on October 6, 2017 at the Music Museum, aptly titled “I Am Jake Zyrus,” will showcase songs he’s been longing to perform on stage. Jake will share with his audience stories and songs that would best describe his journey to ‘freedom’ and those that will represent the dreams he has for himself. He will also be singing his latest single, “Hiling,” under Star Music.
Keeping it real
“I am so excited about this concert because I will be able to finally express my real self. Another thing that gets me pumped is the kind of music I will be performing,” said Jake. “This concert will also be ‘perfect’ for those who want to ‘celebrate themselves’,” he proudly beamed.
Joining Jake in the concert as his musical director is Troy Laureta who happens to be his close friend too. Troy is a Filipino-American musical director, keyboardist and record producer who’s worked with international artists such as David Foster, Ariana Grande, Deborah Cox, Iggy Azalea, to name a few. Their chemistry on stage works so well that’s why the producers of the concert didn’t hesitate to fly-in Troy over to the Philippines. Also supporting Jake in the concert are surprise guests from the local music industry.
“I Am Jake Zyrus” is produced by The Mad Union Entertainment Production and Echo Jham Productions with the support of Star Music and Star Events. Tickets are priced at P4,000 (with meet & greet and autographed poster), P3,200, P2,500, P1,800 and P1,000. Tickets are available at Music Museum, Ticketworld and SM Tickets.
