“So (You) Just Take My Hand, I Hope You Smile”
There was no dull moment last October 19th as former Producex101 front-runner and Wanna One heartthrob Kang Daniel brought every hue all the way from Seoul to Manila in his much-awaited comeback, this time as a solo artist via a fan meet held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
He opened the night performing his hit songs “Through The Night” and “Color.” Known for his endless charm, Daniel was all confident and took the Mini Olympics challenge that included shooting basketball, relay and doing squats but he failed to finish the challenge so he proceeded to do the adorable version of the Rolex Dance as a punishment.
Daniel prepared “gifts” for his DANITYs in the form of challenges ranging from cute (doing the boyfriend pose) to sporty, showing his athleticism (doing push-ups) to be decided by shooting darts. The highlight of the night, which earned the loudest cheers, was the slow dance version of his song “Horizon” in which he also performed in full later that night.
Candid and behind-the-scene VCRs were shown in between activities and performances. He also also revealed that they have shot a couple of footages for his YouTube vlog series called “COLORFUL DANIEL” having arrived a day earlier in the country and teased the fans to watch out for its release.
A surprise fan-made montage that showed support from fans all over the world made Daniel tear up on stage. Admittedly, he felt like he didn’t deserve all the love but said, “he’s truly grateful” and that he will work even harder in the future to be able to come back as a better artist.
“We’ll always be with you. Our Happiness.”
Having released a record-breaking EP “Color on Me,” the 22-year-old CEO was apologetic for having prepared only a few stage performances but he has wittily made it up by doing a cover Justin Bieber’s “Sorry.” He’s also performed his other songs 뭐해 “(What Are You Up To)” and “I Hope.”
Towards the end of the fan meet, he sent his regards to the people who were affected by the recent earthquake in the southern part of the country.
Color on Me in Manila was presented by All Access Production and Konnect Entertainment.
