BAAM Straight to the Heart
Collectively known as Merries, fans of Momoland have boom boom-ed their way to the Smart Araneta Coliseum last January 25, 2019 to experience the fun and the infectious charm of their favorite girls on the group’s first ever fan meeting in the country.
The girls promised to give their best performances and to let out a couple of surprises, especially for the passionate fans who has supported them from their debut days up to the present. One of the “surprises” was later revealed to be an upbeat and impressive rendition of a Tagalog song, Yeng Constantino’s hit, “Salamat” making it the highlight of the night.
The girls also did a sing and dance cover of Camila Cabello’s “Havana” during their encore entrance. Formed in 2016 via a reality show, Nancy, Taeha, Yeonwoo, Ahin, Daisy, Jane, Nayun, JooE, and leader Hyebin (who missed the festivity) charmed the 5,000 fans who went to see them in full action (most of whom were kids with guardians and fanboys). JooE would like to try Jollibee and would adorably say, “Kain tayo!” (“Let’s eat!”) on stage.
Crowd favorite Nancy along with the other members blurted out that they would like to visit Boracay and Cebu if they are given the chance. Momoland performed several songs from their EP, Welcome to Momoland and ended the night with their viral hits, “Boom Boom” and “BAAM.”
