Biggest Pop Culture Convention
The Vampire Diaries star Claire Holt will join Hollywood actor Nicholas Hoult, who is known for playing Beast in X–Men: First Class and X–Men: Days of Future Past, War Boy Nux in Mad Max: Fury Road, protagonist Jack in Jack the Giant Slayer, and R in Warm Bodies, at the AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 on August 26-28 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Joining Hoult and Holt are Holland Roden from Teen Wolf and instant celebrity Millie Bobby Brown, who portrays Eleven in the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”.
Also featured in the convention are Lindze Merritt, Ani Mia, Riddle, and Yugana Senshi Uon for the Cosplay Authority Global Challenge (The CAGE) and Tokidoki’s creative director and co-founder Simone Legno.
Comic artists Whilce Portacio, Ken Lashey, Mick Zeck and Bill Tan are also confirmed guests.
Famous for her role as original vampire Rebekah Mikaelson in the CW supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries, based on the novels of the same name, as well as current continuing spinoff, The Originals, Claire Holt is a natural charmer.
Holt rose to popularity as Emma Gilbert in the Nickelodeon series H20: Just Add Water, and later went on to roles such as lead character Lindsey in Sam Raimi’s Messengers II: The Scarecrow, Melanie Mayron’s Mean Girls 2, indie film Blue Like Jazz, and a recurring role in hit series Pretty Little Liars as Pride advocate Samara Cook.
She is slated to appear next as Kate, a lead role in Johannes Roberts’ upcoming underwater psychological thriller In the Deep. She is also working on the second season of critically acclaimed series Aquarius.
Ticket prices for the APCC are priced at P550 (one day), P850 (two days), and P1,050 (three days) and are sold in SM Ticket outlets and SMTickets.com. Special tickets for Meet & Greet and autograph/photograph sessions with Hoult and Holt will be available soon.
In addition, a special Geek Bundle is also available at P3,500 for the first 100 customers which includes an event lanyard, tote bag, cape, a 3-day pass, and a 1/12 Iron Man Mark XL “Shotgun” collectible figure from Comicave Studios.
