A Summer to Remember

One day before the main event, the foreign acts graced the Filipino press with their presence and answered the questions from the press people.

First to join the Q and A was Gods of Eden and they talked about the concept of their video and how their set will be a special one that the Filipino fans will never forget. They also talked about the new talents in the scene that need to work and strive hard to make it to the top. Then came Michigan’s I See Stars who talked about how they were convinced to join this year’s Slam. They also gave their insights on artists who are the D-I-Y artists or “bedroom artists” that also inspired them to create new material for their latest record “Treehouse”.

Dragonforce was the next to join the Filipino press and they are really happy to be back here in Manila as they are also looking forward to an awesome crowd and “balut”. They also talked about handling the stresses of making the new record and the origins of the album cover that fans will surely recognize. Filipino fans according to the band are lucky because The Slam will be the kickoff point of the band’s world tour.

When asked about their message for the Filipino fans, frontman Mustaine simply uttered “WE LOVE YOU!” So now, Filipino fans are sure to get a rocking set from Megadeth as they will be playing a string of hits from their classic records and some new stuff from their latest offering Dystopia.
