RnB King JayR’s acclaimed album Elevated has been certified Gold by the Philippine Association of Record Industry (PARI), commemorating sales of more than 7,500 copies.
This remarkable achievement makes the 35-year-old singer super elated, saying all his hard work has really paid off. “I feel great about receiving a gold record under my own label, HomeWorkZ Music. All the hard work I put into the project paid off. It was passion that kept my drive and spirit high. I’m passionate about spreading original music. I think originality and creativity is more important than statistics and numbers.”
The awarding was presided over by Philippine Association of the Record Industry Inc. (PARI) Chairman Marivic Benedicto and HomeWorkZ Ad Prom Officer Perry McDonald.
Golden feeling
He proudly remarked, “Kahit all-original ang album ko na Elevated nag-gold pa rin. Ibig sabihin nun buhay na buhay ang OPM. I’m so proud that my first album produced under my label is making waves. Thank you to my HomeWorkZ family for helping another dream come true. It’s really a team effort. I couldn’t have done it without them. I would also like to thank all the music lovers who bought my album, for keeping our OPM industry alive. We make music for your ears, hearts and souls. Thank you for allowing us music artists to have the best job in the world.”
Comprised of 14 outstanding all original tracks with collaborations from Kyla, Mica Javier, Q-York, Gabi Wilson, Jhing, Jimmy Muna, Marié Dibgy, AJ Rafael and Kris Lawrence, JayR’s Elevated success proves he’s still at the top of his game (and much more) as illustrated by the outcome of his previous works which were also certified winners. JayR’s albums, such as Gameface went double platinum, Soul in Love received platinum and Jay-R Sings OPM Love Classics also earned gold.
After receiving his gold record award, JayR has his eyes set on the next goal.
“Next level is Platinum,” he said, smiling.
“[Right now though] I’m still not over this golden feeling. My album is rising to heights I only dreamed of in the past. I appreciate all my music lovers out there. You really make all the hard grinding worth it,” the singer beamed.
