‘The Prismatic World Tour’ in Manila is Katy Perry’s Biggest Show to Date, Receives 4X Platinum Award for ‘Prism’

The Prismatic World Tour celebrates its first year with a sold-out show at the cavernous Philippine Arena—the world’s largest indoor arena  

Manila, May 7, 2015 — MCA Music Inc. (Universal Music Philippines) presents Katy Perry with a 4X Platinum Award for the outstanding sales performance of her album Prism in physical and digital formats in the Philippines. Prism has generated five hit singles “Roar,” “Unconditionally,” “Dark Horse,” “Birthday,” and “This Is How We Do.”

The Prismatic World Tour is the third world tour by Katy Perry, in support of her fourth studio album, Prism. It is also the hugely successful global spectacle with sold out arena shows in the UK, North America, Australia/New Zealand, and now in the Philippines. She is also the first solo artist to hold a concert at the Philippine Arena, with over 30,000 fans.

Mid-show, Katy Perry expressed emotionally yet joyful, “Do you know what day it is today? It is the anniversary of this tour! One year ago today, May 7, 2014, we started this show at the United Kingdom. 138 shows later, we are here in Manila. And we feel really proud tonight, actually.” Perry says to her Filipino KatyCats. In her official Instagram account, Katy Perry posted a photo of her shimmering holographic skirt and crop-top outfit by Roberto Cavalli with a caption, “Tonight we wrapped our biggest show yet with over 30,000 people in attendance in Manila.” Full post here: @KatyPerry

The show’s energy was definitely in full gear, starting the show with “Roar” and ending with an explosive encore “Firework!”
