First time in history
“Tawag ng Tanghalan” makes history once again as it gathers today’s best singers to form TNT Records, the home of original Pilipino music’s (OPM) new generation of artists and fresh sound.
For the first time in the country, a singing competition has paved the way for the launch of a record label, which intends to create a platform where the world-class singers can hone their talent and showcase their musicality.
TNT Records will operate under ABS-CBN’s music ecosystem. It recently signed its first artists, including the worldwide sensation and Pinoy pride TNT Boys and grand champion and the New Gem of OPM Janine Berdin.
Folk-rock mover Ato Arman, powerhouse performer Eumee, songsmith Froilan Canlas, ballad prince Anton Antenorcruz, all-out teen diva Arabelle Dela Cruz, spectacular performer Reggie Tortugo, inday wonder Sheena Belarmino and Mr. Rhythm Steven Paysu have also signed with TNT Records.
Even before TNT Records was launched, fans and listeners enjoyed the TNT singers’ finest renditions of popular hits exclusively on the YouTube channel TNT Versions or TNTV.
The channel’s reach and popularity reached new heights recently, as it has gained more than 123,000 subscribers. Some of its most viewed covers include “Flashlight” by the TNT Boys (2.3 million views), “With A Smile” by Janine (1.5 million views), and “So It’s You” by Sam Mangubat (704,000 views).
TNTV has also expanded to air an online show called TNTV Now, where the singers get to chitchat and jam with OPM icons, including Yeng Constantino, Jaya, Kyla, and Ogie Alcasid.
The TNT singers are set to have a busy year ahead, with Sam Mangubat, Marielle Montellano and Noven Belleza successfully launching and promoting their singles as part of the Star Music family.
All-Star Showdown
Produced by TNTV, Star Events and ABS-CBN Events, the TNT singers will also headline their first-ever major concert titled TNT All-Star Showdown set at the Araneta Coliseum on July 28, 2018.
Tickets are now available at Ticketnet outlets and at the Araneta Coliseum Box Office.
