It’s a bittersweet period for fans of Yellowcard, who brought their sold-out “The Final World Tour” farewell concert at the SM Sky Dome in Quezon City, Philippines on February 10, 2017.

Ryan Key (on lead vocals and guitar), Sean Mackin (on violin and vocals), Ryan Mendez (on lead guitar and backing vocals) and Josh Portman (on bass) opened their twenty-two song set with 2003 hit “Believe”. Between songs, lead singer Ryan Key took time to talk to the crowd and at times things got slightly emotional when he narrated how hard the decision was for Yellowcard to call it quits.

Mission accomplished

Throughout the show, the crowd was almost as loud as the band as they sang along. The music sounded amazing. Fans were clapping, jumping, screaming, singing and rocking like you would normally expect at a pop-punk concert.

Every member delivered high-energy vibe that was electrifying. Key, Mackin, Mendez, and Portman religiously interacted with the crowd, shaking hands and smiling with the light of recognition in their eyes to some of the fans whom they seemed to remember from their past shows in Manila.

No surprise there why a lot of people connect with the band on a personal level.

The band ended the show with a two song encore performing “Only One” and their biggest hit “Ocean Avenue”.
